The future of Viktor Tsygankov threatens to become one of the big issues of the summer in Montilivi. According to As, the player's environment has sent a letter to Girona conveying the player's desire to leave the club after the descent to Segunda División. However, this stance does not alter the current path of the Gerundense entity. From the club, they maintain exactly the same message that they conveyed last week during the cúpula meeting. The primary objective is to conserve the largest possible number of important footballers and build a competitive team that can fight for promotion immediately. In that group of strategic players, the Ukrainian international is, of course, included. The situation, however, is far from being simple. Tsygankov's contract expires in June 2027, making this summer one of the last opportunities to obtain a significant transfer before he enters his last year of commitment. Additionally, another factor is at play: Girona only possesses 50% of the player's economic rights, while the other 50% still belongs to Dinamo Kiev. The Girona club paid around 5 million euros, which are almost amortized. In the event of a sale, they would have to subtract the sale amount and then make the necessary divisions. For this reason, the entity is not willing to negotiate at a lower price. The clause of rescission of the winger remains fixed at 25 million euros, and unlike other cases in the team, there is no automatic reduction due to the descent to Segunda División. The stance is clear: the club does not contemplate studying proposals that significantly deviate from that amount. Meanwhile, the market is starting to move. Several clubs from LaLiga and other foreign leagues have inquired about the player's situation in recent weeks, aware that it is one of the most talented players in the category and capable of making a difference immediately in Primera División. However, the existing interest has not yet translated into formal offers capable of satisfying the club's economic requirements. In Montilivi, they understand perfectly that a player of Tsygankov's level aspires to continue competing in the elite. What they are not willing to accept is a hasty departure or a price that they consider insufficient for one of the team's main assets. The summer will be long, and everything points to the outcome eventually arriving. The player's will seems to be on the table, but also the firmness of a Girona that needs income and knows that releasing Tsygankov below his value would be a blow too important for a project that seeks to return to Primera División as soon as possible.
