Girona has confirmed the departure of Jhon Solís, who leaves the club after two and a half seasons to join Birmingham City. The English club has exercised the purchase option included in the loan agreement signed during the winter transfer window. Starting July 1, Solís will become a Birmingham player, where he has made an immediate impact, playing 18 matches and earning the trust of the fans. The sale is estimated at around seven million euros, representing a positive operation for Girona, which had acquired the Colombian for about five million last summer. During his time at Girona, Solís stood out in 61 official matches, including five in the UEFA Champions League and seven in the Copa del Rey. Despite his talent, competition in the midfield and the search for continuity led to his loan, which has now turned into a permanent transfer. Girona, looking to return to La Liga, thanks Solís for his dedication and wishes him success in his new chapter in English football.
